Hewlett-Packard has been in the news lately for several innovative developments. For example, HP extended its blade server platform to include new blades based on its mission-critical NonStop server platform. It also introduced the first fault-tolerant blade server, which the company claims offers a lower total cost of ownership than competing products, including IBM mainframe applications.
